2nd Prize in Kaya Kalp 2024

Under the able guidance and leadership of Dr. Prof Ajay Shukla, ABVIMS & DR RML Hospital, New Delhi won the second prize for Kayakalp Scheme of Mohfw, New Delhi for category A central institutes for the year 2023-24. Kayakalp is an incentivisation scheme under Swacchh Bharat Mission of Mohfw, Delhi to promote good Sanitation, Hygiene & Infection Control Practices in Public Health Institutions. Kayakalp is a three staged assessment process involving an internal review, a peer review and an external assessment carried out by a team comprising of Public Health Specialists nominated by Mohfw, Delhi. An institute is assessed for seven parameters labelled as seven emblems of Kayakalp that is - Hospital Upkeep, Hygiene and Sanitation, Hygiene Promotion, Infection Control, Waste Management including Biomedical Waste, Public Grievance Handling Mechanism on Sanitation issues and Sanitation beyond Boundaries.

The institute was able to achieve this  after crossing the above three stages being assessed in above stated seven parameters.
