- The Hostel:
- “Dhanwantri Chhatrawas” is a 20-storey hostel with 24-hour electricity, six elevators with adequate security and CCTV coverage, and centrally air-conditioned rooms with attached washrooms (separate facilities for boys and girls).
- There are water coolers with purifiers on every floor
- Rooms are furnished with beds, tables, chairs, and storage facilities.
- Every effort is made to provide accommodation to students of ABVIMS. Rooms are allotted as per priority decided according to hostel rules.
- Hostel has 3 wings:- A wing: Ganga Skandh, B wing: Yamuna Skandh, C wing: Saraswati Skandh
- Mess and canteens:
- 2 mess are available on the ground floor of the hostel
- Meals are provided in hostel messes.
- Food is typically subsidized, and the menu is rotated to avoid monotony.
- Apart from these, there is a Departmental Canteen, which is located near Gate no -3.
- There are also food stalls located between Gate no- 2 and 3
- General Rules-
- On admission, the student will have to submit a duly completed form to the Warden. The students should enclose all necessary documents with the hostel form.

- State /all India Quota under which admission to college has been obtained
- Proof of residence
- School/college leaving certificate from previous institute
- Hostel residing certificate from the competent authority if student was residing in hostel before admission to ABVIMS
- The application form can be collected from the warden office
- The Warden/ Hostel committee/ Medical Superintendent have the authority to allot rooms based on the criteria
- All hostel allottees will have to give a written undertaking at time of hostel allotment that they have read the hostel rules and will abide by it
- Priority of allotment
The first priority should be given to the Girl Students and Divyang students in all subgroups.
- Foreign Nationals / Government of India nominees from outside Delhi.
- Students from outside Delhi selected through All India quota
- Other students from outside Delhi
- Students whose parents have been transferred out of Delhi after NEET examination. Documentary proof has to be submitted
- Delhi / NCR students. Priority of allotment to such students shall be based on distance of 30 km from college as determined by Google Maps; other factors such as availability of alternate modes of transport will also be considered
- Compassionate allotment, including medical grounds (to be decided by Hostel Committee)
- Hostel Fees and Penalties
- The hostel fees for MBBS shall be as under. However, the hostel fees may be revised in future.
- One time Security Deposit applicable for all hostels (refundable when leaving college) is Rs 5000/- (For all new allotment)
- The fees for Hostel will be as follow
- Single occupancy- 1000 + 500 Rs per Month/ 18000 Rs per year
- Double Occupancy- 750 + 250 Rs per month / 12000 Rs per year
- Students can opt for quarterly/ half yearly or annual payment of hostel fees
- For the calculation of fees the calendar month will be considered
- The fee for one full month will be paid by the students even if he stays in hostel for a day or any number of days. (to be considered at the time of allotment and leaving the hostel)
- The Hostel fees will be paid at the time of deposit of tuition fees every year
- In case of quarterly or half yearly option, the students will pay during first week each quarter. (1-7 th of January, April, July, October)
- If students fails to deposit fees on time, 50 Rs fine for first 10 days after due date, 100 Rs/day fine for next 10 days after due date, followed by eviction from the hostel and forfeiting of the security deposit
- The account section will share the list of students who have paid the hostel fees to the wardens on regular basis by 25th of every month so that necessary action can be taken
- The Registrar and Account Section will formulate a mechanism to collect fees and will confirm about the schedule for deposit of fees
- Fine in case of non vacation of room after subsequent allotment or after warden’s order is Rs. 1000/- per day from 8th day of order for next 15 days
- In case of non vacation of room consequent upon eviction order from hostel, then after 5 days the room lock will be broken and room vacated in presence of Warden and Security Officer. The procedure of eviction will be breaking the lock in presence of above mentioned officers, preparation of inventory of items in room under their signature, shifting of items to store and allowing further allotment. As and when the student comes for claiming items, the items should be handed over after getting receipt from the caretaker. No complaints of breakage or loss will be entertained. In case fine is not deposited, the belongings will be confiscated
- Fine in case of other misdemeanours / violation of rules as decided by the disciplinary authority.
- Any damage to the hostel property will be taken seriously and the cost of damage may be collected from the individual or group
- Mess fees (to be paid directly to the mess contractor), as applicable
- The fees is payable in account section, directly by the student, and the counterfoil submitted to caretaker of the hostel. Usually, the fees uptill December shall be deposited together, and then in January of each year. The student is advised to retain a copy of counterfoils till completion of professional course, as clearance will not be given until all hostel dues have been paid
- Facilities in the hostel
- All the rooms have centralised Air Conditioning facility, tubelight and electrical point. The electrical supply is not designed for heavy loads, and any excess load may cause fires. Students are advised to refrain from using any other electrical items with heavy loads
- A wooden bed, study table, chair and almirah are provided
- Attached Bathroom/toilet is available
- Laundry facilities (dhobi) is available
- Mess and canteen facilities are available at Ground Floor of the hostel
- Prohibited In Hostel
- Use or possession or storage of narcotic substances/drugs is strictly prohibited. In such a case, the appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.
- Use, possession or storage of alcoholic beverage is not permitted
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the campus
- Change of room without informing the wardens is not allowed
- Use of additional AC / Heater
- Combustible material such as firecrackers or explosives
- Cooking of any kind
- Tampering / misuse of electrical installation
- No gathering or meeting for political /religious or social purposes. For any activities related to academic or extracurricular activities during college festival, permission has to be obtained from the warden / competent authority
- Subletting of room. In case any other person is found staying in the room without permission, the room allotment will be cancelled
- Entry of undesirable persons in the hostel
- Any kind of online delivery personnel like Zomato, Swiggy, Amazon, etc. will not be allowed to enter the hostel. Delivery item is to be picked up from entry gate of the hostel
Any student found indulging in the aforesaid non-permitted activities will have his room allotment cancelled, and will have to vacate within 7 days. Furthermore, the student will be debarred from further hostel allotment for the duration of course, including internship.
- Timings of the hostels
- Students have to be in the hostel by 10 pm every day. Late entry will not be allowed, unless permitted by the warden in advance
- In case, any student has to leave the hostel for specific reason after 10 pm , prior approval of warden is needed
- No student should stay away from his/ her room during the night except with prior written permission of the warden. Any student, who wishes to leave the campus temporarily or otherwise, should obtain the permission of warden in writing. Those applying for permission must state the date and time of his/her intended departure and return as well as the destination and enter all these details in the in-out register maintained in every hostel
