During the MD/MS course, resident is expected to undergo a District Residency Program (DRP) of a total of 3 months duration. DRP is not applicable for DM/M.Ch residents.

All residents of MD/MS/DM/M.Ch are expected to do the following during their Course duration failing which they will not be allowed to appear in their Final Examination:-

Do Basic Course in Biomedical Research within the 1st year of their Course

Do Good Clinical Practice/Good Laboratory Practice Course within the 1st Year of their Course

Do a Course in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support within the first year of their Course
 

Do at least one of the following:

  1. Poster presentation at a National/Zonal/State conference of his/her speciality;
  2. Podium presentation at a National/Zonal/State conference of his/her speciality;
  3. Have one research paper published/accepted for publication in journal of his/her speciality as first author

MD/MS/DM/M.Ch receive stipend during their Residency from the Institute at the rate prevailing at that time.
